St. John the Evangelist Parish is located in the beautiful village of Spring Green, Wisconsin, surrounded by hills and valleys.

The parish has a membership of about 500 families.
Our parish supports a Catholic Grade School (Gr. 4K-5)
as well as a Religious Education Program (Gr.1-11).

We are about 40 miles northwest of Madison, Wisconsin, and
are happy to be part of the River Valley area.

Our Church building was erected after the old Church was destroyed

by fire in 1988.  Our Tabernacle, the lamb carving on the wooden altar,

the stained glass in the greeting area and above the Tabernacle
were from the old Church and incorporated into the present building

designed by William Wesley Peters of Taliesin Architects.

The icons were written by David Giffey, a local Spring Green artist.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church
We are a Eucharistic Community called together to celebrate our Catholic faith. As a welcoming community of God, our mission is to provide an environment that  enriches our spiritual, personal and social growth through prayer, education, outreach and fellowship.
- Joint Parish Mission Statement (November 2010)

We share programs and staff members.  Father John Silva is the pastor of both parishes.

St. Luke's also has a Catholic Grade School (Gr. 4K-8).  Students graduating from 5th grade at St. John's School are encouraged
and welcome to continue on at St. Luke's for grades 6-8.
